Oasis

Oasis is a hotel built in Aswan, Egypt. I choose Aswan as the place for this hotel because Aswan is currently a developing city that is growing fast. I expect this hotel will be a point where businessman and executives come and stay for nights. Oasis is a place where they could get refresh and have a good rest to have a new day tomorrow, just like the characteristic of a desert oasis, which refresh traveller.

 In Lobby Bar Area, I bring the concept of water flow to the ceiling to define the space and to give a design element to the space as well.

Reception Area

 The pattern carved on the back wall of the receptionist is to subtly includes the details of Egypt's culture.

 Bubbles, one of water's character when there is an activity going on, is translated to this dim lights over the more private dining area in the restaurant. I did this to emphasize the feeling of elegance and romantic while they look out to the beautiful Aswan city.

Christian Louboutin Store

Exterior view

Christian Louboutin is a Retail Remodel Project. Located on Maiden Lane, San Francisco, the store Enhance the beauty of Maiden Lane along with other luxurious store. The res sign and architecture element brings back the resemblance of the Red Light District, which used to be Maiden Lane former name.

Floor Plan

The Concept of this project is butterfly's metamorphosis. Thinking of how women will feel the transformation after they wear Christian Louboutin shoes, I decided to make the store a place to transform their feeling.

Center Store View

The dynamic floor pattern is from the butterfly's wing pattern. The wing shape itself is translated in the store fixture. The subtle color is to keep them comfortable inside.

The translucent element at the entrance is the resemblance of a cocoon, a state of metamorphosis before a worm turn into a butterfly.

Ophidia Resort

Ophidia Resort is a green resort design which I did for Green Design class. Located in Bengkulu, Indonesia, Ophidia gets the new beach that no one has visited before. Green design is applied through materials and also the layout of Ophidia. The diagonal layout is to maximize the air flow and facing it to the best view in the resort, the sunset.

Kitchen Remodel

Kitchen Floor Plan

This is a project that I did for my Kitchen and Bath class. It is located in Oakland. The concept is sunshine, to maximize the sunlight from north east and have a warm and comfortable kitchen. The clients love to cook and have gest coming to their house. I take the modern clean look approached with a touch of traditional dark wood color to enhance the crisp in the space.

Portable Laptop Table

Exclusively design to meet the needs of a well circulated laptop table. Made out of maple wood, this laptop table is multifunction. The holes in the middle is purposely design to have a air circulation and keep the laptop cool. the handle on both sides is to grap the table and carry it to your favorite spot at home.
